Troy and Carrie Yaremchak were both working hard and enjoying life with their four children in their Newberry Twp. home. Then, in April, Carrie, 41, was diagnosed with brain cancer. Suddenly, she could no longer work.
Modjeski & Masters First 5K Big Success
We had a beautiful morning to have our first annual Modjeski & Masters 5K in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Market Street bridge. Modjeski & Masters are bridge builders who just happened to build the Market Street Bridge. They liked the fact that Vickie's Angel Foundation serves as a temporary financial bridge for local families fighting cancer, and decided to join our mission by hosting this walk/run. $5,250 was raised in total. Vickie's Angel Foundation has received the Reader's Choice award for a Nonprofit Organization by Harrisburg Magazine. Wow! We cannot thank all of our supporters enough who took the time to vote for us. We are small but mighty, and together we are making a difference in the lives of local families fighting cancer.
