We had a beautiful morning to have our first annual Modjeski & Masters 5K in honor of the 90th anniversary of the Market Street bridge. Modjeski & Masters are bridge builders who just happened to build the Market Street Bridge. They liked the fact that Vickie's Angel Foundation serves as a temporary financial bridge for local families fighting cancer, and decided to join our mission by hosting this walk/run. $5,250 was raised in total. What a success! Below are a few of the highlights.
Mickey Minnich poses with 12 year old Hannah Minnich (no relation!) whose father passed away from cancer. She came out because she liked the cause.
William Bordner graciously donated his winnings from the race. Thank you William!!
We even had a proposal at the finish line. Congratulations to Chris Peter and Nicole Eshenaur!
Finally, Mickey Minnich, Founder of Vickie's Angel Foundation, received a $5,250 check from Modjeski and Masters President, Mike Britt, and race organizers, Jennifer Germain and Linda Puceta.
100% of the $5,250 will be used to pay bills for local families fighting cancer who are struggling to stay in their homes, keep utilities turned on, and have food and gas for treatments. This will help a lot of people. Thank you Modjeski and Masters!
