Mickey recently sat with Linglestown Gazette, along with Coach Jim Deibler, for their sports podcast. Great football history is discussed along with the impact of Vickie’s Angel Foundation.

The readers have chosen! Thank you to all who voted Vickie’s Angel Foundation a Readers’ Choice 2024 nonprofit organization!

Vickie's Angel Foundation has proudly joined the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce. Wendy Crecelius, the New Membership Committee Chair from the Orthopedic Institute of Pennsylvania, pictured left, officially welcomed us by presenting a Carlisle Chamber Member plaque and a new member packet to our Development Executive, Alexis Pigott. We are thrilled about this membership and look forward to sharing our mission to support families struggling financially due to cancer.

We're overjoyed to share a beautiful story of kindness and generosity that recently touched our hearts at Vickie's Angel Foundation! Fourteen-year-old Travis, the incredible son of a family we recently assisted, decided to pay it forward by donating his bicycle to our foundation as a token of gratitude. You may remember us featuring his father, George Chronister, in a story where he shared the news of his cancer free scans!

Mickey Minnich and Brad “Doc” Bower join Good Day PA to promote the first annual Vickie’s Angel Ride, a motorcycle event to support local men, women and children fighting cancer.

Santa visits Vickie’s Angel Foundation! Thanks to the sponsorship of Frank Kelly and Kelly Financial Services, we recently held our annual Christmas party for our families with young children. Our thanks as well to our volunteers, donors and sponsors who provided gifts from the little one’s wish lists. Visit our blog for all the photos.

A beacon of hope for central Pennsylvania residents battling cancer, we will soon install a real beacon of light on our rooftop at 511 Bridge Street in New Cumberland. Watch this space for updates.

We’re celebrating 20 years as a beacon of hope for central Pennsylvania residents battling cancer. There are many ways we plan to look back on these years, the families we’ve supported, the people who were vital to our success along the way and the first of these is a feature we’re calling A Minute with Mickey.

Each December, with the help of sponsors and friends, we hold a Christmas gathering for the children of the families we are supporting. This Christmas 18 families were provided with a ham and other goodies. The children were asked to provide a wish list and gifts were specifically chosen just for them. Extraordinary achievement is how many would describe the 1978 Steelton-Highspire football team coached by our very own Mickey Minnich. One of the many games that stood out that season was the 7-6 win in the East Shore/West Shore rivalry against the Cedar Cliff Colts. This year the 43 year old football from that memorable game helped to bring in $41,000 for Vickie's Angel Foundation when the two teams were brought back together to support our mission!

Rollers-Colts reunion to support our mission!

Vickie’s Angel Foundation held the first Family Love Golf Tournament with a SOLD OUT group of teams! Visit our SmugMug account for photos. Check out coverage by ABC27!
